Are you ready for some Kornheiser action?
EA Sports announced Thursday that, because of the staff overhaul of Monday Night Football after its move to ESPN, that it would, also, be changing the name of its football videogame franchise.
For over a decade fans have tuned in every year to hear "Madden NFL," but because of John Madden's decision to go to NBC's Sunday Night Football package (along with Al Michaels), the videogame franchise has been "forced," according to certain sources within the company that insisted on anonymity, "to update its name in accordance to these new procedings."
Starting this upcoming August, fans will have to ask for "Kornheiser 2007, please" at the counter rather than the old "Madden 2007, please." Slip-ups are anticipated.
